Signal minder SM3 with running lights

Folks,

New to the versys forum hope you can help me out.

New to me 2011 Versys 650.

I want to install a Kisan SM3 signal minder I had on my vulcan 900 and want the running light and modulating brake light feature. In Georgia we must have red brake lights only.

I cant find re lens covers anywhere for the Versys signals, are they available? If no what about red bulbs? I can't find incandescent red bulbs (just clear or amber). Can I use leds? If yes what is the min lumen and where can I get them?

Thanks for you help.

P.S. Is there a list of the various light bulbs used on this bike anywhere? I scoured the owners and service manual and did not see a list of the bulbs. Did I just miss the list?

Go to a Hobby Store (or Ebay) and purchase a Testors a can of spray enamel #1605 Transparent Candy Apple Red (approximately $5.00).
2 light coats inside ... and it will look like OEM!

I still have a full deck.
I just shuffle slower.

Note: I have no time to waste because Iím older at this moment than Iíve ever been before,
Ö and itís the youngest Iím ever going to get.

I have not done it myself but have seen the results on a fellow rider's bike. It comes out real well if you take your time doing it. It's easy and inexpensive to do.

Sorry. I don't know of any leds sold for $25 for a pair that would do the job.

I will give it a go and post back on the results.

I got the paint you suggested and applied 4 light coats to the inside of the rear lens cover. Turned out quite well, could be a little darker so I amy apply a few more coats in the future. Thanks for the tip.
