Remains Of Misdirected Posting By New Members, Read the Above Thread

Once you join the forum, you must post twice in Member Introductions and wait 48 hours after your 2nd post before you can post into the other sections of the forums.

This was done in order to combat spammers.

Thanks!

Since there has been some changes for the better, if you have joined but not posted, please do so here

New Members :Member Introductions
Notice :Member Introductions Just joined? Tell us about yourself and your ride.
Just below that is:Kawasaki Versys Forum > Kawasaki Versys Member's Lounge > Member Introductions

Below this: POST NEW THREAD

THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT TO CLICK ON, not someone else's introduction

There is a help in this forum under stickies, please use that especially in the search function instead of posting new threads after your 48 hours is up.

As to two posts, first post you can say where you are from in the world, very next post you can describe your ride, expect to be welcomed within a hour of posting, you can continue to post in that thread, until the 48 hours is up, then most restrictions will be lifted. There will be a change coming here, for now that is it!!

We ask to introduce yourself, personal names if you wish to use this, should be kept to the first name or nick name only, privacy is important, and part of the rules on joining is to keep your name private when selecting a user name.

Any suggestions or concerns you can ask here, we don't bite ,

Steve

ABR, since we instituted the 2 posts and 48 hour rule spam has been reduced from 3-6 posts a day to 3-6 posts every 90 days. In addition all spam that has been posted has been in the new member area, not buried within the regular part of the forum.

You're welcome. If you need any help, gimme a holler, either here or through PM. And just in case, to send a member a PM, simply click on his username. A drop down menu will appear. Click 'send PM', and type away. (PM stands for Private Message. I'm not being a smarty, I didn't know that when I first started posting on the web)

Not sure what your roads are like. If they are a combination of mostly (90%)pavement, some broken pavement and some dirt your best choice is adv. tires like the Metzeler Tourance Next or Pirelli Scorpion 2. Adv. tour tires are basically sport tour tires with a more aggressive tread to hook up on bad surfaces better. They still provide great on pavement grip. If it's pavement only then sport tour tires are better. If it is a ~80/20 mix of pavement/dirt then you need an off road tire and there are options for that too.
