Hi guys. I am enjoying the site and need to add a 2nd post. So here it is. I have been retired for 9 weeks now, and adjusting to that. So now for some longer rides. I have added a pic of my bike to my profile. I will see if I can upload my final 'farewell' photo to this. I sent it out about 30 minutes before I left the building - and I dont miss it at all.:grin2::grin2::wink2::wink2:
:welcome: Isn't Retirement great:grin2:, almost 2 years for me, easing into it slowly, still consulting but, I call the shots 80% of the time.
You will need to do 10 posts to upload , just a recent change, was suppose to be 5, so may need to request a change. Real easy for new members, just make 8 more reply's & 48 hours!:thumb::thumb:
EDIT As to riding, over 40 years, a rare ride was one less than 50 KM or 30 miles, most rides were 100 miles or more. The DRZ was one of those that had shorter rides on it, until I put the Corbin seat on it! When I was growing up, many guys just went from one end of the town to the other, sort of like strutting your Rooster stuff , they didn't want to get all that chrome dirty. Me, my bike was to ride on, never really cared how dirty it got until I got home, as long as I had a clean place to sit, was good enough!
Congratulations. I couldn't wait for retirement to accomplish my riding goals. Don't know if I will be physically and financially able to tour when I retire.
I retired Jan. 8 of this year and rode approx. 11K miles since that time.
One of my accomplishments this past riding season was riding to all 67 counties in Pennsylvania.
Enjoy your retirement and ride safe.
