Talking K&N AIr Filters 650 ABS/ V1000

Browsing the site I read a post about the lack of K&N 650 air filters, which had me thinking.

Though my V1k is new, only driven from shop to home. I decided to look what the pricing is for my model. I found that Amazon have the KA-1111 air filter for 2015-16 at 38.89GBP. That's a saving of 16GBP on their regular price. Also free shipping to a UK address. So I ordered one. I also checked eBay and they have similar pricing.

I like these filters, had one previously on my Suzuki. So a happy buyer today.

Same here, that's why I put up the other post to get more interest in one made.

Why V1000

I am puzzled why they would make a V1000 filter and not the 650ABS, if you count the number of members that have a MK-3 650 ABS on this forum and then the V1000, roughly 90% are 650ABS members, so what am I missing here?

Why is this discussion in the classified ads?

I thought you were selling a K&N filter.

Maybe the mods can move this thread to an appropriate forum.

The urge to buy terrorizes

It was under ANNOUNCEMENTS in the CLASSFIED Section... that's why it's placed there. For people to be aware of something that is being sold.

BMC makes an equivalent if not slightly better product to the K&N filter for the Versys but it is expensive.

Here's a suggestion:

Amazon has an affiliate program where your web site can make a bit of money linking to items on Amazon.
If you sign up as an Amazon affiliate, you can pick items such as maybe HiFlo oil filters, air filters, choice accessories, etc. and link them through the site. When folks click through and buy, you get a small percentage of the sale. If we had a post with a selection of oil filters, air filters, chain/sprocket kits, chain lube (or WD-40 for Eddie) and such, it might help with operating costs for the forum.

It doesn't cost anything to sign up and if it help with admin and hosting costs, all the better.

Thanks, many have no idea how big this company is, best do a search sometime, and it isn't just motorcycles.
