Did you happen to look at the dates?????

Welcome aboard anyway!

BTW, it didn't seem to help sales that much. Or maybe it jump-started them.

Still a secret in Oz

Don't know much about bikes, but the V seemed right for what I had in mind for my first "serious" bike. Aren't I lucky I fell upon a new one on sale for $2000 below RRP, just when I'd just about committed to a V-Strom!

But it's the "sale" price thing that bothers me - the only Versys I've seen in showrooms here are being run out at bargain prices, as if no-one wants to buy them. Oh well, my gain, their loss, I guess.

Stopped over to say hello to the guys at Altrider.com yesterday. They had sold me a few items for the versys. They were really impressed with the Versys and the customizing of my bike. They have every adventure touring machine in their office including the new Tenere. We agree the versys has everything these larger bikes have and offers. However,if someone comes out with a shaft drive 800cc, that will be the bike of choice. I think Triumph has one coming. However, the V still makes me very satified. No need to get excited about anything else.

So Josh, what have you done to your V?

I for one like mine, but i think it lack some power, and would like just a bit more.. 5-15 hp or so.
So I'm just interested in what you have made on your V.

I haven't really altered the the bike. I changed the front sprocket and added a Leo Vince slip on. Personally, I'm satisfied. Some members have taken it a bit further. Look at some of the performance threads . I'm sure you will be far better served there.

Garage
And here it is 5 years later and when people ask me what sort of bike I have I just say Kawasaki 650 because even other motorcyclists don't know what a Versys is.

2015 V650 Review on Motorcycle.com

Looks like MOTY again! An excellent review on the Motorcycle website. Kinda makes me wish I would've bought the 2015--but I love my blu2013!!
