I'm going on a 5000km road trip this Summer, by the end of the trip I'll probably be around 8000km on the odometer... do you guys think that the OEM tires will be OK until the end of the trip?

I personally got OVER 10,000 miles from the OEMs on my '08 and '09, and on my '15 I got 14,162 kms from the rear OEM Dunlop (which STILL had tread, but I was heading to D2D...) and the front was removed at the same mileage (in favor of Shinko E705s F and R), and has at least HALF its tread left.

Dunlop Sportmax Roadsmart 3 Review

The June edition of Rider magazine has a nice review of the Dunlop Sportmax Roadsmart 3.
If in the future the Bridgestone Battlax BT023 is not available anymore, I will certainly will not hesitate to try this one out.

Rear Angel GT lasted 11.000 km. Mainly pillion riding and abusive rear braking...
