You will need to go to a 150/70 rear tire, instead of using the OEM size of 160/60 with the Shinko. Also because they are bias ply they will not work with radials. Lots of other choices in adventure tires, in the OEM stock sizes for the bike

120/70-17 front
160/60-17 rear

Haven't installed my front 120/70 yet, but had the rear 150/70 on an 1800 km ride, which included a 9 hour stint in the rain.

The extra height makes the speedo read ALMOST exactly the same as my GPS - 101km/hr GPS - 102 km/hr speedo, tho' the odometer UNDER-reads by about 1.7%, so my fuel mileage is 1.7% higher than it appears to be.

On some road surfaces (in rain) I was getting some rear tire 'howl', but it was NOT consistent, so I figure it was the road....

I just corrected the math in my previous post:

101 km/hr on my GPS showed-up as 102 on the speedo, so the SLIGHT difference puts you a bit slower than 'indicated'....

I confirmed those numbers yesterday when I rode to Orovill, WA to pick up the 120/70 x 17 Shinko 705 I'd ordered, as I couldn't find one in Canada in time for D2D '16....
