After reading Berts thread about it being 50'f in Pittsburg made me wonder when you all got to ride last, & when do you expect to start riding again?
I was out for a full day the 1st weekend in February after maybe 10 rideable days in January, & l expect the weather will clear within the next 2 weeks.
Christmas Eve. Been working on the Oxford grips, new headlight bulbs and some other re-wiring. Got the beastie back together yesterday and hope to get out later this week. Will post pics under cosmetic mods of the upgrades later this week.
Hey! I live 90 miles south of Fast Eddie!! Went out yesterday with the wife on hers for a 45 miler with a stop at Starbucks. Started typing the temps here, but that is not fair to you that can not get out due to the weather where you live. Going out Wed to slosh the new oil around and then out on a long run on Thursday to this funky restaurant called The Cattleman's Cafe. It is literally in the same building as the stock pens where they sell livestock several days a week. Luckily double doors keeps the smell out of the restaurant. For you with less desirable weather; at least Puksatauny Phil did not see his shadow on Feb 2, so summer will be here soon.
This afternoon to get dielectric grease at a local auto parts store. Oh, also two days ago and the day before that assessing an 85 mile loop I put together in the hill country north west of my home. Nice but bloody windy.
As someone said, "What I like most about winter is watching it from Texas."
Rode 30 miles to and from work yesterday and today :surprise: A balmy 25 f in the morning at 5:15 AM and maybe 32ish leaving work at 6:00PM. Pretty much dark both ways, although we are gaining about 5 minutes of daylight PER DAY. It's just past dusk on the way home now. AME' heated grips, MSR elephant ears, base layer under the uniform, lined textile jacket and pants, snowmachine gloves, regular Oxtar riding boots, and helmet liner/windproof neck warmer. Roads are clear of snow/ice (for the most part) but LOTS of gravel in places. Who woulda thunk in Alaska in February!
I rode on Sunday. It was 28º when I left home in the morning and 42º when I got home in the afternoon. It's snowing today and temps will be in single digits this weekend so I'm not sure when the next ride will be. It's now 30 days until I leave for a trip to Florida so at least I have that to look forward to.

Several times a week.
Today I rode from the coast of Pismo Beach, Ca through old town Guadalupe, Ca while meandering some back roads into Lompoc,Ca.
Took some random back roads that most dead ended onto Vandenberg AFB but got some roads off the list.
Road through Lompoc to Hwy 1. Took a right onto Jalama Rd where my designation was. It was a beautiful (yet could use a re-pave) road that twisted through a valley, up into the mountains that crested the pacific.
I dropped down into Jalama Beach where there is camping and the "World Famous Jalama Burger" which evidently is patented. It was quite good I have to admit but could not finish it all.
Started to head home after a good day riding killing some roads off my moto bucket list.

I only know Lompoc because of the federal prisons that are there.
I took a free helmet class last night (they give you a Bell Vortex helmet for attending) and decided what better way to start breaking in the new helmet than to ride to work this morning. It definitely helped that it was 47* when I woke up.
November 15 when we reached Lima, Peru. Flew back to Edmonton and been in withdrawal ever since.
