My stock Dunlops wore off surprisingly quickly (like 2500 miles) despite keeping correct pressures. That was actually a blessing since I hated them - no grip even on warm, dry asphalt. The change to PR4s was dramatic!
I believe that the OEM Versys Roadsmart 2 tyres are different than the ones they sell in stores. AFAIK
they're single compound, the factory model marking is different (222 vs 220) and generally they're probably cheaper to produce. Despite being named after a relatively well received tyre, the rubbers you get on a new Versys 650 are pretty bad and don't behave as the full-spec model's reviews would indicate. Or maybe I had a faulty batch...
I haven't met anyone who wouldn't be satisfied with PR4s yet.
