confused seat question

i've seen on this thread that people say all model year seats are interchangeable, but the kaw part number changes at the 2015 year; from 53066-0327 to 53066-0443. seems they may be different?

Try looking those numbers up on Bike Bandit web site. You can look up OEM parts and they usually have detailed schematic type pictures to compare. Good luck.

They are different part #'s .But my seat from my 2008 fits my 2015. Also the Kawasaki low gel seat fits both my 2008-2015 veersys.

Maybe there was a minor change that doesn't affect the fitment?

checked seat concepts and they seem to use all the same seats, regardless of year.

Kawasaki had different part numbers for the seat on 1500 Nomads and Classics but the seats would interchange. It was due to the density of the foam. One was designed as a cruiser and the other was a tourer.

I do NOT believe they interchange. TOTALLY different frames.

The 650 seats are the same. I just bought a Sargent seat and called them because they listed the seat as 2008+ on their website and I knew the part numbers were different. They said they hadn't changed the seats and had sold a bunch for 2015's without any complaints. Mine fit perfectly.

I have tried a 2008 Versys 650 seat on my 2015 Versys 650 and it fit perfectly.

A fellow rider on this forum sent me a pic of both (2008 - 2015) side by side.
Attached is the pic. You can see that the only difference is a pair of hooks in the middle of the seat pan. These hooks are not required on the Gen 3 Versys 650. You can leave them as is or remove them.

BTW I have a 2014 Versys 650 seat pan on my Gen 3 Versys 650.

Hope this helps someone who is hesitating with these seat swaps.
