Darn stickers all fell off!

The new 1000 looks rather sinister all in black. I'm trying to decide if it needs a new identity.
New die-cut stickers can be had for a few bucks each so a new name may be in order.

Death Star?
Dark Star?
Darth Versys?

What names can you think of for the sinister black beast?

And yes, I know I still need to de-sticker the swing arm for full effect. I may get to that later when I put her up on the work stand.

What camera did you use for that first photo? I had to double check and make sure we have the same back because it looked so good in that straight side view.

Camera is just my iPhone camera. The lighting is probably what makes the difference. Photo was taken inside the garage with a bunch of new LED ceiling lights. The light is a nice neutral white color and six fixtures across the ceiling make it nice and even and diffuse.

Isn't it strange how the decals fall off of Kawasakis? The same thing happened to my 2008 650. Then I must have parked it too close to my Abarth because the decals seem to have transferred from the car to the bike. To quote James May, "Scorpions are good."

Well, Abarth is a fine heritage to adopt, to be sure!

It's funny how many of these end up with BMW stickers on them.

I've been using leds from 1000bulbs.com.
You can get replacements for just about any fixture and have a choice of lumens + color temp.

When I bought the house, the garage had one bare bulb lighting the whole 20' x 20' room. I bought six of these fixtures. Since you can daisy-chain up to nine of these fixture, I didn't need to do any wiring besides replacing the light socket with an outlet.

I call mine the Urban Assault Bike

I "debadged" my Versys within a month of owning it. There is nothing anywhere on it visible that says Kawasaki or Versys
I love it when people stop to look at my bike and then try to figure out what it is.

At this point Kawasaki is molded into the hand guards but not found anywhere else. That will stay for now though since I don't plan to swap out the hand guards.

You can remove the "Kawasaki" on your handguards w/ a file...!

Do you have some general instructions for the process? I really like the look.

If you are referring to removing the stickers/decals, I just used a hair dryer to heat them up and then they can be carefully/slowly peeled off. Any left over residue can be removed with decal adhesive remover found in most auto parts stores.

All the stickers came off for me with just my fingernail. To get residue off I just used a lysol wipe. The Kawasaki "badges" are just thick stickers.
Just don't use anything metal to pry the stickers off or you'll scratch the paint. Use your fingernails, a credit card, or something similar.
